Golden Point Landcare works in the Forest Creek catchment improving the natural environment. Activities are advertised monthly in the Chewton Chat.

Chewton Landcare has worked in projects along Forest Creek and the Whitehorse Gully area. Recent emphasis has been on Wattle Flat south of the railway line.

Chewton Bowmen is a friendly target archery club with experienced archers to coach and guide new-comers to the sport. The club supplies all equipment for beginners and has great facilities, including an indoor range.

The Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park (CDNHP) is the only National Heritage Park in Australia. There is an emphasis on protecting the goldfields landscape and visions of it.

The heritage building and stunning bush setting on Djarra Country make Chewton Primary School a welcoming and unique learning place for children from the Castlemaine area.

Chewton Pool Inc was formed and incorporated, the pool renovated and opened on December 3, 2011. Record numbers have been using the pool since.

These gates commemorate those who served in the First World War, Second World War, Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. Services are held here each ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.

Repair Cafe is on the last Sunday of the month in the Castlemaine Community House (enter at rear) - 10am to 1pm. Learn to repair things, not throw them out to landfill.

Open every day from 9am - 5pm, except Christmas Day.

The Chewton Bushlands is inhabited by an eclectic crew of full timers and weekenders, long time residents and welcome newcomers, all living off-grid in a unique and often difficult environment.

Mt Alexander Community Enterprise Inc is a volunteer community group raising funds for local projects through a contribution from Bendigo Bank and Bendigo Telco.

The Club gets together every Thursday.
We have a monthly itinerary which includes, various activities ie: games, concerts, film shows. We also have trips out throughout the year and lunch in the club room on the last Thursday of the month, which is catered for and delivered.

Natural History Studies in Central Victoria. Meetings are held on the second Friday each month at 7.30 pm, in the Uniting Church Hall, Lyttleton Street.

Chewton CFA responds to approximately 60 emergencies per year, including grass, scrub and structure fires. We also support other local brigades during the fire season. New members welcome.

Chewton Playgroup is relaxed and unstructured. We have access to indoor and outdoor toys and equipment at Chewton Primary School.
