Chewton Landcare has worked in projects along Forest Creek and the Whitehorse Gully area. Recent emphasis has been on Wattle Flat south of the railway line.

Mt Alexander Community Enterprise Inc is a volunteer community group raising funds for local projects through a contribution from Bendigo Bank and Bendigo Telco.
The Club gets together every Thursday.
We have a monthly itinerary which includes, various activities ie: games, concerts, film shows. We also have trips out throughout the year and lunch in the club room on the last Thursday of the month, which is catered for and delivered.

Chewton CFA responds to approximately 60 emergencies per year, including grass, scrub and structure fires. We also support other local brigades during the fire season. New members welcome.
Chewton Playgroup is relaxed and unstructured. We have access to indoor and outdoor toys and equipment at Chewton Primary School.
