The Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park (CDNHP) is the only National Heritage Park in Australia. There is an emphasis on protecting the goldfields landscape and visions of it.

The Club gets together every Thursday.
We have a monthly itinerary which includes, various activities ie: games, concerts, film shows. We also have trips out throughout the year and lunch in the club room on the last Thursday of the month, which is catered for and delivered.

Chewton CFA responds to approximately 60 emergencies per year, including grass, scrub and structure fires. We also support other local brigades during the fire season. New members welcome.

Repair Cafe is on the last Sunday of the month in the Castlemaine Community House (enter at rear) - 10am to 1pm. Learn to repair things, not throw them out to landfill.
Natural History Studies in Central Victoria. Meetings are held on the second Friday each month at 7.30 pm, in the Uniting Church Hall, Lyttleton Street.
These gates commemorate those who served in the First World War, Second World War, Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. Services are held here each ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.
Chewton Bowmen is a friendly target archery club with experienced archers to coach and guide new-comers to the sport. The club supplies all equipment for beginners and has great facilities, including an indoor range.
A non-profit organisation where retired/semi-retired people can share and learn through attending courses, coffee mornings and social activities. Membership fee is $40.
